Timeline: Deadline for applications is February 14th 2018. Winners will notified by March 1st, 2018.
This grant is open to any learning institution based in the United States working with students who are engaged in Science, Technology Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) programs to develop skills in these areas, as well as collaborative problem solving skills. Educators need to be available for planning and professional development in order to qualify.
What is included?
The 2018 STEAM Summer Camp – Augmented Reality includes access to our latest and most innovative product 3DBear AR (Augmented Reality), a gamified learning application that allows users to implement virtual 3D models in a real living environment.
Each Grant provides access to 3DBear for one year from date of award 3/1/18. The license will provide access for up to 200 students, and includes professional development and ongoing support for up to 10 teachers/staff. The value of the grant is more than $10,000.
Planning and professional development will occur March-June, with summer camps in June or July. Also included is continued use of the software throughout the 2018-19 school year. Three (3) 2018 STEAM Summer Camp Grants will be awarded nationwide. All professional development is included as part of this grant, however the district is responsible for any costs due to release time or coverage.
Winning applications must include both an approval from the District level Administrator for STEAM or Educational Technology, and a commitment to participate in professional development to ensure teachers obtain ample opportunity to learn how to use the AR and 3D technology.
